Adopt-A-Family
Dear Parents,
Our class is adopting three children from the Abita Springs area this Christmas. The little boy is 5 years old, the little is girl is 8 years old, and the other child is a 13 year old girl. . Our goal is to get at least seven gifts for each child. The gifts do not have to be expensive, but they must be new. If possible, please send in a gift between now and Tuesday, December 13th.
Please have the gift wrapped and tagged as follows:

National Anti Bullying Week
November 11th, 2011MONDAY – Door Decorating contest.
TUESDAY – Super Hero day! Students may wear a super hero shirt with uniform bottoms.
WEDNESDAY – Cyber Bully Day —Mr. Clean says, “Don’t be mean, clean up the screen!” Wear a white shirt and jeans today.
THURSDAY – Lifesaver Day! Class surprise after announcements!
FRIDAY – B1 shirts. Rally at the Trailhead. Students who do not have a B1 shirt must wear uniforms.
Red Ribbon Week

October 6th, 2011Grade sheets will go home on Monday. If you would like, you may view yoru child’s grade on STI. Math, English, Spelling, Social Studies, and handwriting are posted as FINIAL grades. I will have reading and science posted as Final grades tomorrow.

Webquest – The Sign of the Beaver

The above link is to your webquest. The webquest is broken into three groups.
The first group is called “Exploring Maine.” You have two challenges in this group. You will pick ONE of the two challenges to complete.
The second group is called Survival. The first challenge we will do in class. The second is on bears. This challenge is due on October 7th.
The third group is called Native Americans. Again you will pick ONE challenges in this group. This is due on October 14.
Social Studies Projects
September 16th, 2011Students were given information about three projects that we are working on in social studies. Two of the projects willbe completed in class. One project must be completed at home. Please ask your child for this information.
Adopt – An – Element
September 16th, 2011Students will receive information on this project. All projects are to be turned in on Friday. Ask your child for the information.
First week of school
August 12th, 2011We have had a fantastic first day. The students are getting to know each other as well as the routine of the classroom. Remember if you have any questions you may email, write a note, or call. I would like us to have a united front in working with your child this year. As one we can make things happen.
